Renewable is a claim. Certified, traceable, audited and registered in the country where your obligation sits is a fact. We deal in the second one.
Why certification is the whole game
Anyone can put wood in a truck. What decides whether that load reduces your reported emissions is whether it can be proved — which forest it came from, that the forest is being replanted, how much diesel was burned getting it to you, and that nobody else has already claimed the same tonne.
That proof travels as a document, it is audited annually by an independent body, and without it the fuel is worth less — commercially and legally. It is the reason our certification scope, not our tonnage, is the first thing on this page.
What travels with every delivery

- Certified GHG saving against the RED III fossil comparator
- Feedstock type and Annex IX classification where applicable
- Country of origin and mass-balance reference
- Independent laboratory analysis for the lot
Our certifications
What each one actually means
Four acronyms appear on our documents. Here is what they commit us to, in plain terms.
ISCC EU
International Sustainability and Carbon Certification — the scheme the EU recognises for proving that a biofuel’s feedstock, GHG saving and chain of custody are what the paperwork says.
SURE
The EU-recognised certification system for solid and gaseous biomass, covering sustainable forestry, land-use criteria and greenhouse gas performance.
RED II / RED III
The EU Renewable Energy Directive sets the rules: minimum GHG savings, eligible feedstocks, and what counts towards a member state’s targets. Everything we sell is built to comply.
European gas registries
Certificates only move if you are inside the systems that issue and cancel them. We hold accounts across the national gas registries — including EEX, Nabisy in Germany, Energinet in Denmark and the French guarantees-of-origin registry — and use ERGaR for cross-border transfer. In practice that means we can deliver a certificate into the country where your obligation sits, not just the country the gas came from.
Our limits
What we will not trade
A sourcing policy is only meaningful if it costs you something. These are the volumes we turn down.
We say no to
- Wood from primary or high-conservation-value forest
- Any lot without a verifiable chain of custody back to the producer
- Feedstock grown on land converted from wetland, peatland or high-carbon-stock areas
- Palm oil as a primary biodiesel feedstock
We insist on
- Replanting or natural regeneration evidence for forestry-sourced biomass
- Residue and waste feedstocks first, wherever a residue stream exists
- Annual third-party audit of our certification scope
- Transport emissions counted inside the delivered GHG figure, not excluded from it
